...with my cables! Why do I always pick these intricate projects!!! Why can't I just be one of those knitters who likes the quick-and-easy-fix projects? I mean, we've got to have some of those in our knitting too. Don't we? They're called "wardrobe staples". I guess that's what my last piece was. So now it's back to the arduous, intricates...Why?
Because easy often looks easy, and bores me visually. So even the mundane stonkinette has to have some bit of detail; rather it's in the shaping, colorwork, or an interesing yarn. Visual boredom certainly isn't a problem I'm having when looking at this project. This is all about texture. Little hills and valleys of devine pillowy fabric created from a continuous strand of organic goodness. Cotton.

I can't wait to see this completed. It's beautiful so far. But then again, everything you do is always pretty.
Wow! Thanks Andrea!
oooh, just look at all that gorgeous texture!! I love that shade of grey, too.
Julie-That is certainly a lot of texture. ;) I love the shade too. Finding myself really into the earthtones lately.
Ohh I like it already.
I am the same, I take on big projects, why, because I guess I like stress LOL
Thank you Tracy!
Not me. I don't like the stress and I get bored if I'm working on it too long, because I am constantly inspired by the project that's waiting just around the corner. So many projects, so little time!
I love your photo showing the great texture you are getting!
Thank you Myrrhia! Another one of my passions. ;)
Wow, I'm love it too...
I'm sure that this work is gonna be great and beautifully!!!
Awesome photos of your work in progress. My daughter wants a knitting machine now and checking ebay for one. Any pointers for a knitting machine newbie.
I am with you there Monique, too many projects not enough time.
I am slowly working on organizing (cleaning) my craft room as I want to do a video on it.
Mmmm cables cables cables. Not a bad thing to have a love affair with.
Sheila-She needs to start with the size yarn she will be knitting with. Machines come in different gauges. A great place to start would be to read this article. It describes which size yarns are compatible with which machines. Great information for someone who is trying to figure out which machine best suits them.
It would be so nice to have more young blood in the machine knitting community. Hope she finds something she likes!
